Heal in Days, Not Months
A 1-3 Day EMDR Intensive = 5 Months of Traditional Therapy
Trouble sleeping. Mind racing. Body on edge. Hard to connect with people.
If you're struggling with these symptoms after a difficult experience, there's a reason why traditional weekly therapy isn't helping fast enough—and a faster path to relief. EMDR Intensives work with your brain's natural healing process, allowing you to process trauma, stress, and emotional pain in concentrated sessions instead of dragging it out over months of weekly appointments.

Why WHY EVERYTHING FEELS HARD RIGHT NOW
When traumatic or stressful experiences aren't fully processed, they stay stuck in your nervous system. Your brain wants to heal, but it needs uninterrupted time to complete the processing. That's why you're experiencing: - Sleep disturbances and hypervigilance - Emotional numbness or overwhelming feelings - Difficulty connecting in relationships - Physical tension and health issues - Feeling stuck despite trying to "get over it" These aren't character flaws—they're signs that your nervous system is still processing something difficult. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based, gold-standard treatment that activates your brain's natural healing capacity, allowing you to process difficult experiences more completely than talk therapy alone.
Meet Your EMDR Therapist
Hi I'm Vanessa!
First, I commend you for taking the first step in your healing journey. Life can feel overwhelming when past experiences weigh heavy on your mind and body. Maybe you find yourself stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, struggling to let go of what’s happened or searching for ways to manage the anxiety, sadness, or numbness that follows. Perhaps you’ve been telling yourself to "just push through," but the same feelings and triggers keep coming back. The good news is you don’t have to feel this way forever. Together, we can work toward the healing and freedom you deserve.
That's where EMDR Intensives come in—and that's what I specialize in.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and trauma-focused therapist, I've spent years helping people process what's been holding them back. I'm trained in EMDR, somatic therapies, and multiple trauma-informed approaches. But more than my credentials, what matters is this: I believe you already have everything you need to heal. My job is just to create the right conditions for it to happen.
EMDR Intensives work because they give your brain what it's been asking for—sustained, uninterrupted time to complete the processing it started but couldn't finish. Instead of 20-30 minutes of EMDR work each week (what you get in traditional sessions), you get hours of focused healing. No week-long gaps. No losing momentum. Just deep, concentrated work.
I practice what I call an "eclectic" approach—I meet you exactly where you are and use what actually works for you. Together, we'll create self-awareness, build self-compassion, and develop the skills that serve you long after our work together ends.
You don't have to feel this way forever. The healing and freedom you deserve is possible— and it might happen faster than you think.

Is an EMDR Intensive Right for You?
EMDR Intensives may be a good fit if you:
-
Want to see significant progress quickly
-
Have specific traumatic memories or events to process
-
Feel stuck in traditional weekly therapy
-
Have limited time availability for ongoing weekly appointments
-
Are preparing for a major life transition or event
-
Are motivated and ready to engage in focused therapeutic work
-
Have adequate support systems in place
-
Can commit to 1-3 days of concentrated therapy
Why EMDR Intensives Work Faster Than Weekly Therapy
cThe Problem with Traditional Weekly Sessions:
❌ Limited Processing Time: In a 50-minute session, only 20-30 minutes is actual EMDR processing
❌ Interrupted Momentum: Week-long gaps between sessions slow your brain's healing progress
❌ Stretched Timeline: Takes 5+ months (or 36+ sessions) to see significant results
❌ Incomplete Cycles: Processing gets cut off when the session ends, leaving work unfinished
The EMDR Intensive Advantage:
✅ Concentrated Healing Time: 3-6 hour sessions give your brain uninterrupted time to process completely
✅ Maintained Momentum: Your brain continues processing between intensive sessions without week-long interruptions
✅ Complete Processing Cycles: Finish what you start—no mid-processing cliffhangers
✅ Faster Symptom Relief: Experience meaningful change in days, not months
✅ Lasting Results: Deep, complete processing creates sustainable healing
Is This Actually Proven to Work?
Yes.
EMDR is recognized by:
- World Health Organization (WHO)
- American Psychiatric Association
- U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
- International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies
Research demonstrates that EMDR Intensives are as effective as traditional weekly EMDR therapy sessions, with the added benefit of achieving results in a condensed timeframe.
The intensive format is particularly powerful because it allows for complete processing cycles without the interruptions that can occur with weekly sessions, leading to faster symptom reduction and more sustainable healing.

Insurance and Reimbursement
While I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly, many clients are able to receive partial or full reimbursement from their insurance company for out-of-network mental health services.
Superbill Provided
I will provide you with a detailed superbill after each session that includes:
-
Diagnosis codes
-
CPT procedure codes
-
Date and length of service
-
Provider credentials and information
You can submit this superbill to your insurance company for potential reimbursement according to your out-of-network benefits.
Checking Your Benefits
To determine your out-of-network mental health benefits, contact your insurance company and ask:
-
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
-
What is my out-of-network deductible, and has it been met?
-
What percentage does my plan cover for out-of-network mental health services?
-
Is there a limit to how many sessions are covered per year?
-
Do I need pre-authorization for EMDR therapy or intensive services?
-
How do I submit claims for reimbursement?
Many clients find that their out-of-network benefits cover 50-80% of the cost after meeting their deductible, making intensive therapy a valuable investment in their wellbeing.
